WHAT IS INVOLVED IN APPLYING FOR PLD FUNDING?

HOW IT WORKS

This 8-minute video from the Ministry of Education gives a good overview of the steps to access centrally funded PLD.

This PLD is centred around an inquiry model which requires schools to know which problems of practice they wish to improve in order to lift student achievement. This means that your application must be backed up with relevant evidence and detail how you will monitor the impact of the PLD.

As former school leaders, we are best-placed to help you apply - we can guide you to develop a successful application for your school/kura or Kāhui Ako/Community of Learning. We can even provide you with examples of successful applications and best practices to make your application successful.

WANT HELP APPLYING?

We can help your school, kura or Kāhui Ako put together a successful application.

As former school leaders we know how the Ministry of Education and schools work, so are best-placed to support your application.

Generally, this type of PLD is for supporting areas identified as areas of national priority. The Ministry of Education has also identified regional priorities within these which may also attract funding.

As we complete your application, we will guide you so that it addresses national and regional priorities within the context of your school priorities.

If you would like help with a Dos and Don'ts of how to apply, plus the national and regional priorities to help you customise your PLD application, please click here or complete the form below...
